Cheers!

June 16, 2011

Congrats, many many congrats to the Boston Bruins and the to the people of Boston. Bostonians have reason to celebrate. Not only have the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup, but in recent years, the Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox have all won their respective league championships. Good for them.

In the past four seasons, three Original Six teams have won the Stanley Cup. If this trend continues, the Toronto Maple Leafs will win the cup in the next four years.

HAHAHA!

And now for today’s Faggot of the Day.

Vancouver.

So, your hockey team almost won the title. And for that. For the hard work your team put forward for 107 games this past year, you thank that hockey team by burning cars and breaking windows and rioting in the streets.

Faggot!

For using a hockey game as an excuse to riot in the streets, these assholes in Vancouver are today’s faggot of the day. Just like they were 17 years ago when the hockey team lost on the final game of the season.

I think I will have a party when the Maple Leafs win.

I always hated violence attached to sport – it ruined British football for many years…

You’re not from around here so I’ll forgive you for thinking that the Maple Leafs might have a chance.

Their actions are pathetic out there. Very disappointing.

    Vancouver is the #analstainofcanada

They’re making the Quebecois seem peaceful and smart.

Don’t insult the whole city based on the action of a few morons.

Not the first time Vancouver has behaved like this. Happens once, okay, maybe it’s just a few morons. Happens again, the problem is systemic.

    Riots over sports? So stupid!

    All rioting is stupid.

That was a pathetic game for the Canucks and just a horrible day all-together for Vancouver. It’s kinda scary that these fools roam the streets and blend into normal society… just an embarrassment to Canada all around.

But only in Vancouver. Not Edmonton, not Calgary, not Ottawa.

Yeah, it’s disgusting. If the team had won everyone would have been dancing in the streets and sharing the fellowship that comes with artificial identification with a team that has nothing to do with you. We would have watched the celebrations and said “Gee, isn’t that swell! People are so great when they’re all celebrating together.” But those are the same people who in fact ruined their downtown in a giant tantrum. Kind of ruins the whole love of humanity effect.

Meanwhile in Boston, seven people were arrested for drunk and disorderly. Bostonians have apparently learned how to handle celebrations.

It’s really too bad as Vancouver is such a nice town. Really, it’s just stupid.

Nice to anybody not from Toronto.

Party when the Maple Leafs win? I didn’t know they still had a team there!!!

Team yes. Opportunity to win, no.

I wonder how bad the rioting would be if the Canucks had won.

Did you see that pic of the two making out, darn near getting it on, in the middle of the street with riots going on on both sides? Hysterical.

Rioting would have been just as bad.

Cheers to the Bruins. It’s a good time to be a sports fan in Boston, it would seem. :)

Maybe these kids were the only Bruins fans in Vancouver:

I doubt a Bruins fan in Vancouver would have made it out of there alive.
