Hand sanitizers like Purell and stuff like that have split people into two groups: those who swear by it; and those who think it does more harm than good.

Turns out, there’s now a third group.

When it comes to innovation in ways to get high, nobody does it quite like people who live in northern Canada.

Hospitals in northern Canada have discontinued the use of hand sanitizers because the stuff is being stolen for the purposes of consumption. People are stealing the hand sanitizer and drinking it.

Meanwhile, a major federal political party in Canada is toying with the idea of campaigning on “legalize pot.” Why legalize it? There are so many legal ways of getting high, why add another?

I understand that sniffing gasoline has become too expensive, but glue is still pretty cheap. Now there’s Purell drinking. Who needs pot? Everywhere you go (except northern hospitals) have hand sanitizer dispensers, and it’s free, provided by the building, whether it be a bank or a shopping centre. Drink to your heart’s content you stupid junkie.

Wow. There is no limit to how low people will stoop, is there? No bottom at all.

Drinking Purell, the only thing lower is drinking a drunk’s persons vomit and piss.

They are trying to legalize pot because they are desperate and they are trying to get young people’s votes.

Will they never learn, potheads don’t vote.
“Hey guys, let’s go vote… Is that tin foil? Coo-ool!”

Guess that is one way of dealing with cabin fever!

When having sex with your cousin’s goat, or your cousin, gets boring, drink Purell!

I’m genuinenly curious who was the first to try this, and why the hell they even decided that may be a good idea.

I never cease to be amazed at the stupid shit people will eat/drink/smoke/snort/shoot into their veins to get high.

The fact that someone is so addicted to substances to escape the harsh reality of their lives that they will drink Purell is truly tragic. I worked in Northern Ontario, and I have witnessed stories of people living in squalor, poverty, and abuse. Those are the people who would sadly turn to hand sanitizer. Referring to them as “stupid junkies” is rather insensitive and missing the point entirely.

EEEWWW. Seriously? Yuck! How desperate do people have to be?

That is SO gross. I hate hand sanitizers. They’re goopy and even the unscented ones stink. I’ve gotten along just fine with regular old hand washing so far; I feel no need to smear my skin with disgusting gunk. Or if you don’t have a chance to wash your hands, cope as follows: don’t stick your finger in your eye, and eat with a knife and fork. It’s that simple.

What the?! And here I thought drinking the cough syrup thing was gross!

You know, this gives, “You need to have your mouth washed out with soap, young man!” a whole new meaning.
