People have been lining up since before 6:00am to get into the new wing of Yorkdale Mall. Not a new mall, just a few new stores.
It does make sense to me.
You have to get there by 6 just to find parking.
I went there this past Sunday. Got there at 10:15 even though the stores didn’t open until 11:05. Alright by me. Place was rammed by noon when I was done my shopping and heading out.
I’m almost done my Christmas shopping. Nobody is getting a gift from me except me. All I have left to do is get myself a gift. I’m thinking gift card.
I’m dreaming of a cheap Christmas…

Meanwhile, in my spare time, I’ve been working on that 4000 piece jigsaw puzzle. I’ve completed the centre portion and the border area. That’s probably about 500 pieces worth. One eighth complete. Yeah.

I think we are having a fairly light weight christmas this year too. Most will be bought online too, which is a big change for us…

What the hell is up with Yorkdale being so damn crowded all the time? I mean, it’s a good enough mall, but it’s not THAT great. You can find all the same chain stores in lots of other locations.

Not the Microsoft store or Topshop or a freakin Tesla dealership.

i don’t get the ‘queue up to spend money on crap you don’t need’ mentality either. the internet. shopping in my undercrackers, delivery to my door. life is good. there are no human interactions required.

No human interactions, then why the undercrackers?

You have got to be fucking kidding me! I hate shopping, and I don’t understand anyone who lines up that early for ANYTHING (except maybe a doughnut.) Cheers for your Christmas shopping plan!

I like shopping. Not that much though. My inner Helen Reddy is roaring.

I never really go to Yorkdale, so I’m sure it’ll be awhile ’til I see the new wing.

I made the mistake of going to the Eaton Centre today and it was a zoo.

    Good luck with the puzzle!

The puzzle is probably 1/4 done. Maybe 3/8.
