Weekend Recap

November 19, 2012

Friday night I went out for dinner with some people. Some really wopish people. I can only take super old traditional Italian views and idiosyncrasies for so long before I snap. At first, I got up and put my jacket on as a passive aggressive act to hint that I wanted to leave. Too subtle. So I just got up and left the restaurant.
Saturday I worked in the morning. I was at a job site near this empanada take out place. I’ve never had an empanada but have wanted to try one.
I walked into this place no larger than my bathroom. The place opened at noon and I got there five after. There were already four people ahead of me. All women, all looking like Christielli minus the science cat costume. They were all talking about which is the best empanada. I got three kinds. Two of which had too much bitter greens. I don’t like bitter greens. Otherwise, quite yummy. Next time I’m in that area I will pick up a couple more.
Sunday I went to Yorkdale Mall and didn’t shop. I just walked around. I got there before the rush so it wasn’t a madhouse.
In the new section is a Tesla dealership. There’s nothing more hoidy-toidy than an electric car dealership in a mall. Oh wait. There is something more hoidy-toidy. A store called Anthropologie. That’s where old rich white women spend their dead husband’s money.
Simpsons was funny last night.
In conclusion, okay weekend.

A Tesla dealership? LIke they sell exciting electronic equipment to mad scientists?

The empanadas sound interesting – found some recipies on the web, might give them a try.

I’d love a giant tesla coil. Freak out the neighbours

Good food and a funny Simpsons? Yeah, okay weekend indeed. :)

    Okay food worth trying again

I’ve never understood the appeal of bitter greens. At least not to eat.

Some people like them. Don’t know why

LOL @ the women looking like me minus the science cat costume. What’s my science cat-less look? I don’t even know.

FYI I spend my own hard-earned money at anthropolgie and have for years. It used to be my vacation store when I went to Austin, San Fran, NYC etc but now that it’s moved here (and has a third location now!) it’s a dangerous thing.

Anyway, if you can get me one of those dead rich husbands to help with the anthropologie bills, that’d be great. :)

Sorry. I don’t know any dead rich husbands looking to get their bones jumped.

And your look sans science cat, look in the mirror. Unless you still haven’t removed the costume…

a car dealership in a mall? ugh! i had been curious about the Tesla, but if that’s their sales strategy, i may have to rethink it. rather have a coil.

Who wouldn’t want a tesla coil?

Sounds like a decent weekend. :) Just kicking back and taking in the sights.

I hate it when they put cars in a mall. It just seems so wrong somehow.
