Vacation Planning

January 11, 2013

Here’s my dilemma (other than fiscal restrictions): having already been to New York City and Disneyworld, I know I will enjoy either of those vacation spots again. But what about other places. Chicago or Las Vegas. I’ve heard good things.
NYC and Disney I’ve been to both three times. Always enjoyable.
I can only do one vacation at a time. New York has culture and history and art. Florida has pie.
I’m so torn.
Meanwhile, Chicago has the blues. And Vegas has hookers (the other pie).
Then there’s the lesser thought of spots. Kentucky’s bourbon trail. Tennessee and its music. Texas has food. Portland was brought up. Portland has doughnuts.
I’m so torn.
Is it so wrong for me to sit on a balcony over-looking a hotel pool eating a pie and some snickerdoodles in Florida, again?

    Roadtrip!

I don’t mind driving but I don’t want to do that much driving.

I think you would really enjoy Chicago. Good museum and other attractions. Can get everywhere using the subway too. It goes all the way to the airport!

    But how’s the pie?

If you go to Vegas, only stay for two days. Any more and you’d go crazy. You could catch a train from there, or a quick flight, to Anaheim and visit Disneyland.

Between the places I saw on Diners and man v food, there’s probably three days worth of eating for me there. Then the 24 hour breakfast buffets. I think my stomach wants four days minimum in Vegas

Hookers are the other pie? I’m going to stick with standard pie.

Hookers are also the other white meat… Or black meat depending on well you know.

Las Vegas is like Chuckee Cheese for adults.

    Pizza, animatronics and whores, wahoo!

Chicago is great! Been there twice and loved it so much!

I’ve heard lots of great things about Portland.

I liked Texas a lot. Amazing food. Spent most of my time in Austin, of course.

I just got back from DC and really liked it. Makes for a cheap vacay because there are so many free museums.

Also San Francisco! One of my fave trips ever.

Do you have to stay in North America? Europe is the awesome!

    ———–

US is cheap close friendly. Europe is far expensive and full of snooty Europeans.

What about that Garlic Capital of the US place, out in CA I told you about a couple years ago? You love garlic, you’d love CA, I’m sure, and there’s lots of other scenic things to see not too far away, as well as excellent food.

But no, there’s nothing wrong with snickerdoodles in FL, either. :)
