Getting Rid of Penny

February 4, 2013

Canada is getting rid of the Penny.
Say good bye to Penny.

No. Not that Penny. She’s not in Canada. If she was, we wouldn’t let her leave. We’d probably stick her in some shitty CBC drama about the Maritimes.

No no no no! We’re not getting rid of this Penny. We love this Penny.

This Penny is going the way of the dodo. I think it’s a good a thing. Since the mass production of one and two dollar coins, loose change is getting way to heavy.

By the way, doing a Google search for the pictures I used in this post, I found far too many sexualized images of Penny Gadget. Using the search term “inspector gadget penny” I found images of Penny in a bikini done in a anime style. There was another drawing of Penny, tied to a table and being tickled by a shadowy figure. What the heck is wrong with people? She’s a little girl.

I was sad to see some of our old coinage get retired – our old “thru-penny bit” was wonderful!

    Off to google I go

I might miss it a tiny bit but I do love that my wallet will be much lighter!

Sad about the penny. Ours will probably follow suit in the not too distant future.

Lots of sick people in this world.
