Red Light, Green Light?

October 9, 2013

Red lights and stop signs aren’t the same thing. Maybe somebody should tell that today’s Idiot of the Day.

I was stopped in my car, second in line at a red light. The car ahead of me was stopped too. Complete stop.
Then the car ahead started moving through the intersection. The light was still red though.

Fortunately nobody was hurt. But this idiot may still be out there. Maybe even driving in your town.

Lights at the end of my street, I have seen people run through it when it is red. They think because they are turning right and nobody else is there that they don’t need to stop at the light. So stupid.

    See. Already in your town.

One of my friends did this back in high school. I think she was kind of zoned out, stopped at a red light, saw there was no traffic, and drove through. We coined it “running a red light the safe way”, and have teased her about it ever since.

I used to know someone who stopped at intersections where there was no stop sign. Just in case some crazy person decided to run their stop sign on the cross street. *facepalm* I think she’s caused more accidents than she’s avoided by being overly cautious.
